While the whole world seems to be masturbating over Elon Musk pictures and indulging in this miserable bourgeois view of history, that a few individuals are responsible for the evils of the world and that if they were gone, everything would be totally wonderful. The history-interested reader wonders which school everyone went to.
History and thus the present are historically determined (who would have thought it) phenomena like Musk and Trump are just like Biden and Harris phenomena of our time, which arise from the inevitable misguided development of the system based on private capital. Inevitably (in the German vernacular, one says: the devil shits on the biggest heap) capital will accumulate, that is, one of the competitors in the free market will prevail. First oligarchies will form, then monopolies and empires. Power accumulates with capital and there will be neither democracy nor any form of free market. And that is not a new despotic form of capitalism or liberalism, which is always associated with fascism, but the abolition of itself. Capital cannibalizes itself.
All this can be known. In 1912, Rosa Luxemburg wrote “The Accumulation of Capital”. If I can’t or won’t read this because of anti-communism, I’m missing one of the works of the great thinkers of humanity!
